On a cold day with temperatures in the teens, Districts 11 and 9 were dispatched to East Iselin Parkway on a report of smoke in the area. First arriving units found a heavy smoke condition coming from a house. Three handlines were stretched, and crews quickly extinguished a well involved basement fire with extension to the first floor.
